Join our 3rd Sunday farmers markets cleanup!

Our local beaches are stewarded by volunteers just like you! We welcome you to a fun day at the pier with the chance to get some local goods at the Newport Pier Farmers Market.

Closed-toe shoes recommended. Bring reusable gloves if you have them. Dress accordingly for weather, bring sunscreen, and please bring a reusable/refillable water bottle - we strongly discourage use of single-use cups.

Arrive early to find parking in municipal lots new Newport Pier. Look for the blue Surfrider tent at the entrance to the Pier.

2022 Junior Guard Swim Test Training

This swim training class is designed to teach swimmers the stroke of freestyle and how to swim 4 laps in a row, to pass the junior guard qualifying swim test. This program is for ages 8 and older. If your child is 6-7 years old, they must have approval from Coach Jesse to join the class.

About the program:

• Session is 8 weeks
• Starts Tuesday, 1/18 and ends Thursday, 3/10
• Practices are Monday - Thursday from 4:00 - 5:15 pm
• Flat fee of $225
• Swimming every day is not mandatory, but we recommended 3-4 days for kids who are
  new to swim training.
• Payment via check only.
